Goals include: Increase awareness and understanding of racial equity and how to put it into practice at work and in daily life; Increase awareness and understanding of common terms, definitions, and concepts related to racial equity, racism, and bias; Bridge the gap in understanding of the history of white supremacy; white privilege, anti-blackness inequality under law, and oppression; Unpack and discuss structural racism and how it shows up in society and in our work; Raise awareness around activism and allyship and how to use privilege to effect change; Identify tools and examples of racial equity in practice and how to shift to the next level.

This training prepares participants to facilitate the Healing Trauma curriculum. Healing Trauma is a brief (6-session) manualized curricula designed for women who have experienced trauma and violence associated with ACEs. The materials are gender responsive and reflect an understanding of the impact of trauma on women.
