Minnesota CarePartner offers in-home parenting training skills for parents involved in child protection. Many marginalized demographics are disproportionately represented in the system. We understand that in order to create lasting change, we must earn the trust of the parents and children. We work hard to match families with staff from the same culture who speak the same language.
In addition, we work with children in foster care. We’re there every step of the way: before, during, and after reunification. We help children adjust and learn how to cope with the confusing circumstances in their lives. Parents are included in this process. In fact, we make it a priority to work 1-on-1 with them.
We also offer parenting assessments to identify strengths and areas that need improvement. With the parent, we make recommendations and set meaningful parenting goals. In doing so, we hope to increase the chances of reunification and permanency in the family and community.
