Child Welfare Support

Minnesota CarePartner offers in-home parenting support for families currently involved in child protection or for families that want services to prevent involvement. Marginalized communities are disproportionately represented in the system and we strive to advocate for parents to that families can remain together, in their communities and maintain their culture. We understand that in order to create lasting change, we must earn the trust of the parents and children. We work hard to match families with staff from the same culture who speak the same language.

In addition, we work with children in foster care. We’re there every step of the way: before, during, and after reunification. We help children adjust and learn how to cope with the confusing circumstances in their lives. Parents are included in this process. In fact, we make it a priority to work 1-on-1 with them.

We also offer parenting assessments to identify strengths and areas that need improvement. With the parent, we make recommendations and set meaningful parenting goals. In doing so, we hope to increase the chances of reunification and permanency in the family and community.
